KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasized the provincial government’s dedication to protecting the rights and religious freedoms of minority communities on National Minorities Day, underscoring their role as equal partners in Sindh’s development. Addressing the ceremony at the Arts Council, Shah highlighted initiatives aimed at improving socio-economic conditions for minorities and preserving cultural heritage.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the National Minorities Day observance is a reaffirmation of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of a state where all citizens enjoy equal rights. Shah emphasized the constitutional guarantee of minority rights and outlined government efforts, including scholarships, financial assistance, and cultural preservation projects. He also praised the contributions of minority communities and recipients of the Pride of Minority Awards.

Shah called for collective efforts to build a society based on equal citizenship and religious freedom, urging all citizens to uphold the founding ideals of Pakistan. The ceremony concluded with acknowledgments of minority representatives’ contributions, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering interfaith harmony and social cohesion.
