Jeddah: In a significant move to enhance the experience of Pakistani pilgrims, Saudi Arabia has pledged to address and resolve the challenges faced by them during Hajj and Umrah. During a meeting in Jeddah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, assured Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, of prioritizing these issues.
The discussions, held on Wednesday, focused on improving facilities available to Hajj pilgrims and Umrah visitors. The talks also included plans to expand the “Road to Makkah” project to additional cities in Pakistan, a move aimed at streamlining the pilgrimage process for Pakistani travelers.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf highlighted concerns related to the registration process for Hajj pilgrims. In response, Dr. Al-Rabiah emphasized the Saudi government’s commitment to enhance cooperation and implement new measures to ensure the best possible facilities for pilgrims.
Dr. Al-Rabiah noted the significant number of Pakistani pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia each year and reiterated that serving them remains an honor for the kingdom. The minister further assured that the Saudi government prioritizes providing excellent services to all pilgrims.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf expressed his thanks to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued support and dedication to improving the pilgrimage experience. He also acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Al-Rabiah in extending special attention to Pakistani pilgrims.
