Punjab Police Successfully Extradite Two Murder Fugitives from the UAE

Lahore, In a significant operation led by the Punjab Police, two dangerous criminals, wanted for murder, have been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan. This operation is part of the Punjab Police’s ongoing crackdown against fugitives and proclaimed offenders who have fled abroad after committing serious crimes.

According to Punjab Police, the team successfully apprehended Muhammad Awais Naseer and Muhammad Arshad, both involved in separate murder cases. Naseer, wanted by the Faisalabad police since 2018, and Arshad, sought by the Multan police for over a year, were arrested following red notices issued through Interpol. With these arrests, the total number of fugitives apprehended from foreign countries this year by the Punjab Police has risen to 141.

Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, praised the police team for their diligent efforts in tracking and arresting these dangerous individuals. He has directed the police to expedite the legal process and ensure that the criminals are brought to justice. Dr. Anwar has also called for intensified efforts to apprehend other dangerous offenders involved in serious crimes like murder, robbery, and kidnapping. He emphasized the importance of continued coordination with other departments and regular monitoring of operations by RPOs and DPOs to arrest absconding criminals abroad.
