Federal Minister Lauds Benazir Nashonuma Programme and Honors Armed Forces


Islamabad: Federal Minister Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, during the launch ceremony of the End Line Evaluation Report of the Benazir Nashonuma Programme, highlighted the initiative as a crucial investment in Pakistan’s future, emphasizing child nutrition as a key factor in the nation’s economic and social development. He underscored the importance of addressing stunting among children as vital for the country’s progress and stressed the long-term benefits of early childhood attention.



According to Press Information Department, the End Line Evaluation Report, prepared by Aga Khan University, was praised by the minister as a vital indicator of effective interventions. He highlighted the necessity of evidence-based decision-making in the face of restricted financial resources, noting that the Benazir Nashonuma Programme exemplifies successful social protection, with transparent implementation resulting in substantial outcomes.



Minister Shah reiterated the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety’s commitment to supporting BISP and partner organizations, ensuring the continuation of effective programmes despite economic challenges. He emphasized the evolution of social protection into a source of economic stability and empowerment, advocating for evidence-driven impact discussions.



The minister expressed confidence in achieving significant results through strong commitment and sound policies, reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to a better future for its children. Additionally, he congratulated the nation on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, particularly the Pakistan Air Force, for their professionalism and sacrifices in defending the homeland.
