ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, underscored their countries’ commitment to regional peace during a telephone call on Friday. The leaders discussed the current regional situation and reiterated their support for efforts to maintain peace and stability.
According to Radio Pakistan, the leaders recalled Prime Minister Sharif’s recent visit to Doha, where he met with Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and other officials, highlighting the productive discussions that took place regarding peace initiatives. Prime Minister Sharif expressed anticipation for the Amir of Qatar’s upcoming visit to Pakistan, emphasizing that it would enhance bilateral relations.
Sheikh Mohammed commended Pakistan’s persistent efforts in promoting peace and stability, offering Qatar’s backing for diplomatic efforts aimed at ensuring security in the Middle East. The leaders agreed to maintain close communication and coordination on shared interests.
