Sargodha: In a move aimed at supporting the families of police officers who have died in the line of duty, the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has handed over a house to the family of Shaheed Constable Mohsin Abbas. This initiative is part of Dr. Anwar’s ongoing mission to secure residential homes for the families of police martyrs.
The Punjab Police spokesperson announced that a house valued at Rs. 13.5 million has been acquired for Constable Abbas’s family. The property is situated in a well-regarded housing scheme in Sargodha, chosen according to the family’s preference.
Constable Mohsin Abbas was killed in 2024 during an exchange of gunfire with dacoits. He is survived by his parents and sister. The funding for the house was released by the Government of Punjab, following Dr. Anwar’s efforts to support the families of fallen officers.
Dr. Anwar expressed his admiration for Constable Abbas’s sacrifice, emphasizing that the constable lost his life while performing his duty. This initiative reflects the Punjab Police’s commitment to honoring their officers’ sacrifices by ensuring their families’ welfare.
