Islamabad: The Chief Justice of Pakistan engaged with the Supreme Court Bar Association in a consultative session ahead of the new Judicial Year set to begin on September 14, 2026. The session was marked by discussions on digital services and case management policies aimed at enhancing the efficiency of court operations.

According to Press Information Department, the Chief Justice was welcomed by Mr. Haroon ur Rashid, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, alongside executive committee members, advocates, and Advocates-on-Record. The dialogue included a briefing on the Supreme Court’s Public Facilitation Centre’s online services designed to improve accessibility and user experience. The Bar was also informed about the Supreme Court’s case fixation policy, which outlines the scheduling and prioritization of cases.

The engagement was appreciated by the Bar members, who valued the inclusive approach and the opportunity to provide input on case management strategies. Their suggestions on case fixation and scheduling were noted for consideration. The Chief Justice acknowledged the constructive interaction, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder consultation in developing effective policies and enhancing access to justice.

This consultation is part of a larger institutional strategy to define the priorities and operating framework for the upcoming Judicial Year, through ongoing dialogue with the Bench, Bar, and other relevant parties.
