Young Agricultural Professionals from Pakistan Begin Training in China

Xi’an: The first group of 300 young agricultural professionals from Pakistan has arrived in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, marking the start of a significant capacity-building initiative spearheaded by Pakistan’s Prime Minister. This program aims to train 1,000 professionals in China, focusing on modern agricultural practices.

These participants will engage in a three-month training program at the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University and the Yangling Vocational and Technical College. The curriculum will cover agro-technology and climate-resilient agriculture.

Upon arrival at Xi’an International Airport, the trainees were greeted by Mr. Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, Deputy Head of Mission at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, along with senior Chinese officials. The reception included a briefing on the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the scope of the training.

This initiative is part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to modernize its agricultural sector. The training is expected to equip young professionals with the skills needed to address future agricultural challenges and foster greater cooperation between Pakistan and China in the sector.
