Biden Criticizes Trump’s First 100 Days as Destructive

CHICAGO: Joe Biden, in his first significant public address since leaving office, criticized former President Donald Trump’s initial 100 days in government for causing substantial harm to American society.

Speaking to a gathering of disability advocates in Chicago, Biden asserted that the Trump administration had inflicted considerable damage in a short period. He stressed that the administration’s actions had undermined key federal institutions, notably targeting the Social Security Administration by reducing its workforce by approximately 7,000 employees.

Dressed in a blue suit and tie, Biden, 82, spoke for about 30 minutes, standing against a backdrop of American flags. His comments marked a rare public critique of his successor’s policies during his time in office.

In response to Biden’s remarks, President Trump shared a brief video clip on social media featuring one of Biden’s less focused anecdotes, opting not to accompany the post with any commentary.
