PTI Founding Chairman’s Health Not a Concern, Says Defence Minister

Islamabad: The Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, stated in the National Assembly that the founding chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has no health issues, dismissing opposition claims. Asif emphasized that politicizing the chairman’s health would be tantamount to political dishonesty.

According to Radio Pakistan, Khawaja Asif assured members of the assembly that the PTI chairman has undergone medical examinations, with reports due to be made public. He also expressed regret over past instances when the health issues of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders were trivialized during PTI’s governance.

In the same session, the National Assembly Speaker reiterated the importance of dialogue between the government and opposition, highlighting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s ongoing offers for negotiation. The assembly was adjourned until the following Monday at 5 p.m.
