Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Emphasizes Pakistan’s Global Perspective at United Nations


NEW YORK: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has forcefully presented Pakistan’s perspective on various global issues at the United Nations. The remarks were made during a media briefing that focused on the diplomatic engagements of the Pakistani delegation at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that Prime Minister Sharif effectively addressed Pakistan’s positions on key issues, including Kashmir, Palestine, the US-Iran conflict, and Pak-India relations. The Prime Minister also spoke on the situation in the Middle East and Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace. This marks the first time that a Pakistani Prime Minister’s address received applause from the UN General Assembly audience.



Ishaq Dar noted Pakistan’s role in advocating for multilateralism and the peaceful resolution of global disputes. Additionally, he condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks on Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that assaults on the holy cities are unacceptable.
