Karachi Mobilizes Swift Response Team to Address Road Conditions

Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has initiated a swift response strategy to address the deteriorating road conditions in the city, prioritizing the repair of roads and filling of potholes. Karamullah Waqasi, spokesperson for Mayor Karachi, emphasized the importance of resolving civic issues to improve urban mobility and municipal facilities.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, on the directives of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the KMC Swift Response Team is actively conducting field inspections to identify and repair damaged roads and locations affected by excavation. Parliamentary Leader Karamullah Waqasi stated that the team aims to counteract the daily difficulties faced by citizens due to poor road conditions, which frequently disrupt traffic flow and increase congestion.

The spokesperson highlighted that the road rehabilitation efforts are not just confined to isolated repairs but are part of a comprehensive plan to enhance overall mobility throughout Karachi. The initiative also includes assessing major thoroughfares and connecting roads, ensuring they meet the needs of different communities.

Waqasi pointed out that the ongoing construction and rehabilitation of Dastagir Road in Baldia Town, which has been in disrepair, exemplifies the administration’s commitment to prioritizing citizen-raised issues. He urged residents to report any road or municipal facility problems to the authorities, ensuring that practical measures are taken promptly.

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation reiterated its responsibility to listen to citizens and take immediate action where necessary, with ongoing development efforts tailored to public requirements.
