Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed congratulations to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and the people of Germany on the Day of German Unity.

According to Press Information Department, President Zardari emphasized the importance of Germany as a trusted partner to Pakistan and noted the continued expansion of bilateral relations. These relations span multiple areas including political, economic, energy, cultural, educational, scientific, and technological fields.

President Zardari also acknowledged Germany’s significant role within the European Union and its efforts in strengthening relations between Pakistan and the EU. He conveyed his aspiration to work closely with President Steinmeier to further enhance the bonds of friendship and mutual respect, aiming to benefit the peoples of both countries.
