ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry convened a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office, focusing on law and order, crime prevention, and public grievance redressal in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by all Deputy Inspectors General, Senior Superintendents of Police, and Superintendents of Police. Discussions centered on reviewing the current security situation, implementing effective community policing, and addressing public grievances. The IGP instructed officers to prioritize maintaining peace, safeguarding citizens, and taking decisive action against criminal activities.
A comprehensive crackdown has been initiated against drug dealers, muggers, robbers, and vehicle thieves, following the IGP’s directives. Officers have been urged to resolve public complaints promptly and foster trust through modern policies and transparency.
In a subsequent Orderly Room session, IGP Chaudhry addressed the personal and service-related issues of police officers and officials. He emphasized the importance of addressing their concerns, stating that the welfare and encouragement of police personnel are vital departmental responsibilities.
