BAKU: The Embassy of Pakistan in Baku, in partnership with the Pakistani Language and Culture Center at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, organized a literary event titled ‘Bridge Between Languages: Presentation of Azerbaijani-Urdu Literary Translations’. The event marked the launch of the Azerbaijani translation of ‘Towards the Goal’ by Pakistani author Qasim Ali Shah and the Urdu translation of ‘Sehrbazlar D?r?si’ by Azerbaijani scholar Professor Kamal Abdulla.
According to Press Information Department, the event was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar. Members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tamam Jafarova and Rizvan Nabiyev, commended the enduring ties between the two nations. The program featured a photographic exhibition by Virginija Morgan-Hayat, highlighting Pakistan’s culture and landscapes, and included the screening of the documentary ‘Salam Pakistan’. Attendees also enjoyed traditional Pakistani cuisine.
The gathering brought together individuals from various sectors, emphasizing the importance of literary and cultural exchanges in enhancing the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
