Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to the victims of terrorism, urging the nation to unite in support of those affected. Their statements came as part of the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, observed today.
According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders emphasized the importance of raising voices against terrorism on all fronts—globally, nationally, collectively, and individually. President Zardari highlighted the role of technology in making information and rehabilitation services more accessible to victims and their families. He stated that supporting victims is a matter of justice and national responsibility, not merely an act of charity.
Prime Minister Sharif reiterated the need for comprehensive physical, psychological, and social rehabilitation efforts for victims, framing it as a shared global responsibility. He assured that Pakistan has a robust support system in place for martyrs, their families, and other victims of terrorism.
