Islamabad: A six-member Malaysian parliamentary delegation, led by the Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, met with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House in Islamabad. The Speaker emphasized the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia, citing that greater exchanges and interactions between the two legislative bodies could further reinforce bilateral relations.
According to Radio Pakistan, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted the potential role of parliamentary friendship groups in fostering contact and collaboration between the parliamentarians of Pakistan and Malaysia. Such groups, he noted, could serve as effective platforms for promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
During the meeting, the Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in promoting peace and diplomacy, particularly during the recent tensions between Iran and the United States. He commended Pakistan for its significant diplomatic contributions toward regional peace.
