President and Prime Minister Issue Eid-ul-Fitr Messages to Nation

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have sent their congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, emphasizing themes of unity and social responsibility.

According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders issued separate messages highlighting the significance of the holiday as a time to foster mutual love, brotherhood, and social harmony. They called upon citizens to share their happiness with those in need, including orphans and underprivileged communities, and to strengthen societal responsibility.

President Zardari’s message focused on the importance of renewing commitments to national unity, the supremacy of the Constitution, and adherence to the law. He stressed that the development, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan are collective responsibilities.

Prime Minister Sharif noted that Eid-ul-Fitr renews core values such as sacrifice, unity, and service to humanity. He highlighted the government’s implementation of a digital wallet system during Ramazan to provide financial assistance to the underprivileged in a dignified way. Sharif also expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza and other conflict-affected regions in the Middle East, reiterating Pakistan’s prayers for global peace, security, and stability.
