Pakistan to Launch Bulletproof Glass Factory in Karachi with $50 Million Investment

Karachi: Pakistan is set to establish its first local bulletproof glass manufacturing facility of international standards in Karachi, backed by an investment of approximately $50 million. The initiative is supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council and aims to bolster the country’s defense manufacturing capabilities.

According to Radio Pakistan, a delegation from the prominent business group Vanguard International recently met with officials from the Special Investment Facilitation Council to discuss the project details. The factory will be located at the Bin Qasim Industrial Park and is expected to fulfill the needs of the Pakistan Army and other security institutions.

The establishment of this modern facility is anticipated to facilitate technology transfer and reduce the nation’s reliance on imported bulletproof glass. Additionally, it is projected to create employment opportunities for around 400 skilled workers, contributing to the local economy and workforce development.
