Pakistan Recognizes Courage and Dedication of Humanitarian Workers on World Humanitarian Day


Islamabad: On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, President Asif Ali Zardari of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan emphasized the nation’s solidarity with the global community in recognizing the vital role of humanitarian workers. These individuals are commended for their courage and commitment in responding to natural disasters, emergencies, and crises.



According to Press Information Department, President Zardari lauded the efforts of humanitarian workers who collaborate with civil society, security forces, and citizens to provide timely assistance during crises. He highlighted their role in offering essential support to vulnerable populations, emphasizing the values of compassion and respect for human dignity that their work embodies.



The president underscored the importance of organized and professional assistance in helping communities recover from violence, displacement, hunger, poverty, disability, and marginalization.
