Islamabad: Pakistan marked International Youth Day by acknowledging the potential and contributions of its young population, aligning with the global theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement, emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering youth through quality education, technical skills, and employment opportunities. The government has prioritized initiatives like scholarship programs, laptop distribution, and paid internships to foster educational and technical advancements among students.

The Prime Minister highlighted the role of the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme (PMYSDP) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) in creating a skilled workforce that meets international standards. These efforts are aimed at ensuring that young people can contribute not only nationally but also on the global stage.

In his message, the Prime Minister urged the youth to continue working hard with honesty and responsibility, emphasizing that the nation’s sustainable development is closely tied to their progress. He called for a collective commitment to the country’s development, ensuring a promising future for all, especially the youth.
