Islamabad, The Pakistan Navy’s Command & Staff Conference, a high-level decision-making gathering, recently concluded at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. The conference, chaired by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, focused on national security, geostrategic affairs, combat readiness, and training of troops.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the conference assessed the evolving maritime situation in the region, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. A significant point of discussion was the deployment of a Pakistan Navy (PN) Ship for the protection of Pakistan’s merchant ships. The meeting also reviewed the progress of various Pakistan Navy projects and future plans, deliberating the way forward.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized the importance of maintaining perpetual combat readiness to effectively counter any aggression against Pakistan. He commended the initiatives undertaken for capability development, including the acquisition of state-of-the-art platforms and emerging technologies. Expressing full confidence in the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy, the Admiral highlighted its readiness to meet maritime challenges and safeguard Pakistan’s maritime frontiers.
The Command & Staff Conference serves as the apex decision-making body of the Pakistan Navy, where the Chief of the Naval Staff, along with all Principal Staff Officers and Field Commanders, reviews policies and plans.
