Islamabad: In response to the earthquake that recently struck Myanmar, Pakistan has sent a second consignment of humanitarian aid weighing 70 tons. This initiative was carried out under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan.
The relief shipment comprises essential supplies, including tents, tarpaulins, blankets, water modules, medicines, and ready-to-eat meal packets. These items are intended to provide immediate support to the communities affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.
Previously, Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in Myanmar delivered an initial consignment of 35 tons of aid. This first batch was handed over to the Chief Minister of the Yangon region for distribution to those impacted by the natural disaster.
The Pakistani government and its National Disaster Management Authority have reiterated their commitment to ongoing humanitarian efforts, expressing solidarity with the people of Myanmar during this challenging time.
