North Waziristan: Eight militants, identified as Khwarij, were killed and four others injured during an exchange of fire with security forces in North Waziristan, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The incident occurred as the group attempted to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The clash unfolded in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan District when security forces detected the movement of the militant group attempting to cross the border. The forces engaged the group, effectively preventing their infiltration.

Following a prolonged exchange of gunfire, eight militants were killed. Four others sustained injuries during the confrontation, as reported by ISPR.

The Pakistani government has reiterated its call for the Interim Afghan Government to implement effective border management measures. Officials urge the Afghan authorities to prevent the use of their territory by militants for launching attacks against Pakistan.

In the aftermath of the incident, Pakistani security forces have initiated a sanitization operation in the area. The operation aims to eliminate any remaining militant presence, as authorities remain committed to securing the nation’s borders and eradicating terrorism.
