Islamabad, In a striking demonstration of military might and preparedness, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, affirmed the armed forces’ readiness to defend the country’s sovereignty against any potential threats.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir expressed this commitment while engaging with troops participating in the Field Exercise “Shamsheer-e-Sehra” in a training area near Rahim Yar Khan. The exercise was designed to refine the military’s skills and procedures for contemporary battlefield challenges.
During the visit, the Army Chief observed integrated military operations, which showcased the cooperative maneuvers of various combat units, including Armour, Infantry, and Air Defence. Notably, the Pakistan Air Force contributed aerial support to the exercise, underlining the joint operational capabilities of the nation’s defense forces.
A noteworthy aspect of “Shamsheer-e-Sehra” was the inclusion of modern Electronic Warfare and Information Operations tactics aimed at undermining the adversary’s communication systems and countering disinformation during conflict scenarios.
The Army Chief commended the participating troops for their exceptional training standards, state of readiness, and high morale. General Munir stressed the importance of maintaining this level of preparedness to thwart any enemy incursions.
The visit concluded with the Army Chief emphasizing the importance of perpetual vigilance and the need for the armed forces to be ever-ready to safeguard national interests. He was officially welcomed to the exercise site by the Corps Commander Karachi and the Inspector General of Training and Evaluation.
