Islamabad, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the Prime Minister’s forthcoming visit to China and the progress on Phase 2 of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The meeting aimed to finalize the agenda and ensure all ministries and departments are aligned for the completion of ongoing and proposed development projects under CPEC.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the federal minister was updated on the preparations for the next Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting, which is scheduled to take place next week. The minister underscored the importance of the JCC meeting in the context of the Prime Minister’s visit, stressing that it would focus significantly on advancing the projects under the second phase of CPEC.

Minister Iqbal directed all relevant ministries and departments to actively contribute to the success of the CPEC initiatives, highlighting their critical role in the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
