Islamabad: Member of the European Parliament Ond?ej Dostál met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, to discuss Pakistan-EU relations, democratic values, and mutual interests at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights on Tuesday.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting, conducted in a cordial atmosphere, focused on enhancing Pakistan-EU relations and promoting parliamentary engagement. Discussions included law, justice, and human rights issues, as well as the importance of strengthening positive relations between Pakistan and the EU.
Senator Tarar emphasized the significance Pakistan places on democratic values, constitutional systems, the rule of law, and human rights protection. He highlighted the role of strong democratic institutions and effective parliamentary engagement in fostering cooperation both nationally and internationally.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to democratic values, the rule of law, and human rights protection as shared priorities, agreeing on the necessity to enhance mutual cooperation and engagement. Mr. Dostál expressed appreciation for the Federal Minister’s efforts in constitutional and legal affairs.
Minister of State for Law, Justice, and Human Rights Barrister Aqeel Malik was also present at the meeting.
