LAHORE: The Lahore Police team has emerged victorious at the All-Pakistan Men’s and Women’s Powerlifting Deadlift Championship 2026, securing a total of 12 gold, three silver, and one bronze medal. The team’s impressive performance was celebrated by CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, who commended the athletes for their hard work and professional excellence.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the championship took place in Islamabad and featured participation from six teams, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab University, and Islamabad. The Lahore Police team stood out with their achievements, which were acknowledged by DIG Administration Imran Kishwar. He emphasized the importance of sporting competitions in enhancing physical fitness, team spirit, and morale within the police force.

In the powerlifting category, Constable Shakeel Khalid took first place, with Ammar Javed and Usman following in second and third positions, respectively. Gold medals were awarded to Constables Hameer, Ammar Qasim, Shakeel Khalid, Kaleemullah, and Tayyab Abbas. Lady Constables Aneza, Neha, Lubna, Kashaf, Maimoona Bukhari, Areeba, and Ayesha also excelled, each winning gold medals. Additionally, Ali Zamin, Ammar Javed, and Faizan Ali captured silver medals, while Usman earned a bronze.
