Killing of ML Bindroo strongly denounced

Srinagar, October 06, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other Hurriyat leaders and organisations have strongly denounced the gruesome murder of a well-known chemist, Makhan Lal Bindroo.

They termed the killing as a handiwork of Indian secret agencies to create a wedge between the Muslims Majority and other minority communities. ML Bindroo, a member of Kashmiri Pandit community, was shot dead by identified gunmen at his pharmacy in high security Iqbal Park in Srinagar, yesterday.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government has completed its nefarious target of outweighing the local population of Jammu region by issuing lacs of domicile certificates to the non-local Hindus from different parts of India. He said that Modi regime is now hell bent to first create a wedge between the majority and minority religious groups of the Kashmir Valley and then enforce its nefarious designs of changing the demography of the occupied territory with the help of its military forces and Bindroo’s killing is a conspiracy in this regard.

The spokesman referring to such heinous criminal actions perpetrated by Indian occupational forces right from Chittisinghpura to Shopian and Laway Pora, said more ruthless carnages cannot be ruled out in the near future in Kashmir to which the Bindroo’s killing may be used as a pretence.

The APHC spokesman demanded a fair probe by any international organisation under the auspices of UN Human Rights Council into the ruthless killing of a popular Chemist, belonging to a minority community who served the people during the tough times of a war-like situation in IIOJK without any fear or threat to his life.

He appealed to the freedom loving people of Kashmir to provide every possible help and assistance to their non-Muslim brethren and remain vigilant to defeat any kind of eventuality thrust by the Indian occupational forces and agencies. He expressed his deep condolences on behalf of people of Kashmir to the grief stricken Bindroo family.

The Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the killing of ML Bindroo and two other civilians, yesterday. It said that Bindroo had been dedicatedly serving the people of the valley for the last many decades. It extended condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family of Bindroo and others who have been pushed to perpetual grief at the loss of their dear ones.

The Hurriyat forum appealed to the world community to intervene in putting an end to the daily violence and tragic loss of life in IIOJK by pushing for the resolution of the lingering Kashmir conflict, which is the root cause of all the bloodshed in the territory.

Senior APHC leader and the President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan AL-Moosvi Al-Safvi in his statement expressed shock and grief and condemned the killing of ML Bindroo. He extended his condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family of Bindroo.

Agha Hassan Al-Moosvi said the rise in killing of people in IIOJK is a grim reminder of the need to resolve the Kashmir conflict urgently and prevent the region from getting consumed by it. The fast-changing geopolitical reality of the region also demands settlement of the Kashmir conflict on urgent basis, he said.

The Chairman of International Forum for Justice Human Rights JK, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, in a statement in Srinagar condemned the brutal killing of ML Bindroo. He said that Bindroo was killed despite the fact that his shop was in a high security zone where Indian police and other paramilitaries remain deployed in strength throughout the day. He demanded an impartial investigation into the killing to punish the killers.

Untoo said slain Bindroo has lived through the toughest of times in the Kashmir Valley. He said the Indian agencies are using such killings to justify their wrongs. He urged the world bodies to take cognizance of the situation in IIOJK and force India to resolve the long pending Kashmir dispute to mitigate the sufferings of the people of the territory.

Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement has said that Modi led fascist Indian government has also started killing members of minorities in IIOJK through unidentified gunmen. JKMM Information Secretary Shabbir Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar said that ever since BJP came into power in India, India is presenting itself as a Hindu dominated society.

The Chairman of Kashmir Council for Justice, GN Shaheen, in a statement in Srinagar condemned in strong terms the assassination of ML Bindroo who stood like rock in odd times to serve the oppressed people of IIOJK for the last several decades. He called for identifying and bringing the culprits to justice.
