Islamabad: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, taking over the role during the absence of Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, who is currently abroad.

According to Press Information Department, the oath of office was administered by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Aamer Farooq at a ceremony in Islamabad. The event was attended by judges, the Registrar, and representatives from both the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Pakistan Bar Council, along with officers of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan. Justice Rizvi’s appointment aims to maintain the court’s judicial and administrative operations and ensure the continuous delivery of constitutional justice. This transition underscores the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan’s focus on maintaining institutional continuity, upholding constitutional governance, and adhering to the rule of law.
