Muzaffarabad, April 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has paid glowing tributes to its Supreme Commander, Amanullah Khan, on the occasion of his seventh death anniversary. The JKLF spokesman, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said that Amanullah Khan was a great revolutionary leader who created a new chapter in the history of Kashmir through his tireless political and diplomatic efforts and mature political and ideological thinking. He said in response to the voice of Amanullah Khan, the Kashmiri people have rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and this process continues even today.
He said dozens of leaders and thousands of workers of the JKLF, including Shaheed Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Hameed, Shaheed Dr Abdul Ahad Guru and Shaheed Shabbir Siddiqui, have made great sacrifices for the freedom struggle of Kashmir. Thousands of Kashmiris, including the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, have been languishing in Indian jails, he lamented. Rafiq Dar said on the occasion of the seventh death anniversary of Amanullah Khan, the JKLF leaders and workers and Students Liberation Front are organizing phased condolence ceremonies around the world to pay tributes to him.
According to the programme, he said, apart from prayer meetings in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, condolence gatherings will be organized in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Such gatherings will also be organized in Europe Gulf countries while the closing ceremony will be held on May 29 in Gilgit on the occasion of the Founding Day of the party, he added. Meanwhile, the spokesman paid tribute to Shaheed Muhammad Yasin alias Bilal Dhobi from the downtown area of Srinagar on his martyrdom day and said his tireless struggle and his priceless sacrifice is the most valuable asset for the Kashmir freedom movement.
