Islamabad Capital Police Conducts Combing Operation for Enhanced City Security

Karachi, The Islamabad Capital Police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) recently conducted a comprehensive search and combing operation within the jurisdiction of the Sumbal police station. This operation, part of a series of measures to enhance the safety and security of Islamabad citizens, targeted illegal residing foreigners in the area.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation was carried out following the specific directives of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. These operations are part of a broader strategy to ensure the security of the city’s residents.

The recent operation involved the CTD and local police teams, all under the supervision of the SP of the CTD. The teams conducted thorough checks in various areas within the jurisdiction of the Sumbal police station. In total, 78 houses, 25 motorcycles, 4 vehicles, and 137 individuals were scrutinized during the operation. This extensive effort led to the identification of 7 suspicious persons who were then taken to the police station for further investigation.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan emphasized that the primary goal of these search and combing operations is to bolster security in the Federal Capital. He directed all zonal officers to continue such operations in their respective areas to maintain a high level of vigilance. The ICCPO also called upon citizens to cooperate with the police during these checks to facilitate the smooth execution of these security measures.
