Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa Marks First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq


Ottawa: The High Commission for Pakistan in Ottawa, along with the Consulates General in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, honoring the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the martyrs. The ceremony attracted a significant gathering of Pakistani community members and friends of Pakistan.



According to Press Information Department, special messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were delivered, emphasizing the nation’s resilience and the valor of its Armed Forces heroes. High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem praised the courage and professionalism of the Armed Forces during Marka-e-Haq, particularly during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos in May 2025. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to international law and its right to self-defense, while advocating for dialogue and diplomacy in regional peace efforts. Saleem remarked that the triumph of Marka-e-Haq highlights the importance of national spirit in defending legitimate rights and interests.



The event also included special prayers for the martyrs and concluded with a pledge to let Marka-e-Haq inspire the nation towards building a stronger and more resilient future for Pakistan.
