HEC Introduces Online Paperless Degree Attestation System

ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a transition to a fully online, paperless Degree Attestation System, marking a significant shift from traditional verification processes. The new system is designed to be accessible around the clock, allowing applicants to apply for degree attestation via a dedicated online portal.

According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the system will provide an e-Attestation Certificate, which applicants can download from their personal dashboard. The certificate, along with the attested documents, can be verified online. The original degrees will be attested, eliminating the need to process photocopies of educational documents. The updated system aims to enhance security and efficiency, removing the necessity for physical visits to HEC offices.

Applicants who have already applied and paid the attestation fee under the previous system will have their applications processed by the old method until June 30, 2026. These applicants are encouraged to complete their attestation process by this deadline. Those who have not yet paid the fee are advised to apply using the new system. Attestations completed by HEC prior to the launch of the e-Attestation Certificate will remain valid and verifiable through the official HEC website.
