India’s RAW Agency Accused of Global Terrorism Activities

Brussels: Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe, Ali Raza Syed, has criticized India for its alleged involvement in international terrorist activities, particularly through its intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). The condemnation follows a report by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) that highlights such activities and suggests sanctions against RAW.

Ali Raza Syed expressed significant concern over the USCIRF’s findings, which detail India’s RAW agency’s purported role in executing terrorist acts internationally. He underscored the potential implications of these actions for global peace and stability.

The chairman pointed to the assassination of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada as a revealing incident of India’s external operations. He also mentioned an alleged assassination attempt on another Sikh leader in the United States, further implicating RAW.

Within India, Ali Raza Syed criticized the government’s actions against religious minorities, with a particular emphasis on injustices faced by Muslims. He claimed that the Indian authorities have made conditions intolerable for Kashmiris advocating for self-determination.

These allegations add to the international scrutiny of India’s internal and external policies concerning minority rights and global security.
