Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi recently visited the Capital Police College (CPC) in Islamabad to assess and enhance training protocols. During his visit, he met with Commandant Malik Jameel Zafar, Director of Special Initiatives Shamsul Haq Durrani, SSP Model Prisons Islamabad Ali Akbar, and the college staff to discuss improvements in the training system.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP directed staff to enhance their professional skills in line with contemporary requirements to optimize the training process. He stressed the importance of dedication and hard work among trainees to elevate the institution’s status. In a subsequent meeting with CPC staff, discussions centered on upgrading training modules, aligning staff with modern service requirements, and enhancing faculty capabilities. Special tasks were assigned to officers to implement these changes.
The IGP highlighted the critical role of training in institutional success and insisted on zero tolerance for negligence. He instructed the design of modern drills to boost physical fitness and operational performance, focusing on crime control, investigations, and fostering ethical relationships with the public.
Rizvi also inspected a modern armored vehicle, reviewing its safety and communication features. He instructed its use in high-risk operations and emphasized training staff in its operation and maintenance, highlighting its role in emergency response and citizen safety.
