IGP Islamabad Takes Stock of Police Construction and Security Operations


Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has undertaken a comprehensive review of police construction projects and security measures across the city. During site visits, he was accompanied by a team of senior officials, including DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, and SSP Model Prisons Islamabad Ali Akbar.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP inspected several construction sites, focusing on the progress and quality of the work being conducted. He instructed officers to adhere strictly to project timelines and emphasized that delays would not be accepted. The IGP highlighted the importance of modernizing police infrastructure to enhance the force’s operational capabilities and public service delivery.



IGP Rizvi also called for continuous monitoring of construction projects to maintain standards of transparency and quality. Later, in a meeting with AIG Special Branch Captain (Retd.) Syed Zeeshan Haider, he reviewed security protocols and intelligence operations, directing improvements in security arrangements based on effective intelligence to mitigate crime.



The IGP further met with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq to evaluate the ongoing crackdown on criminal activities, urging more robust strategies to maintain law and order. He emphasized the necessity for police strategies to be reinforced and called for necessary measures to safeguard citizens and their properties.
