ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted a comprehensive review of the Safe City security monitoring system during his visit to the Safe City Islamabad facility. The visit included an assessment of ongoing construction work, various departments, and the surveillance system’s effectiveness.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi was accompanied by DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya and other officials during the visit. The IGP evaluated the current measures in place for the utilization of modern technology, aimed at improving the surveillance system and enhancing police services for citizens. He provided directives to ensure that the construction work adheres to the set timeline and standards.

Later in the visit, IGP Rizvi held a meeting with DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Joya to discuss the monitoring system, the integration of modern technology, traffic management, and strategies to enhance police services. He stressed the importance of utilizing Safe City’s technology to bolster security monitoring, facilitate the timely detection of criminal activities, and refine the police response mechanism.

IGP Rizvi emphasized that modern technology and an effective surveillance system are crucial for contemporary policing. He assured that the Islamabad Police will continue to leverage technology to protect citizens’ lives and property while providing efficient police services.
