IG Punjab Meets with Balochistan’s Trainee DSPs, Emphasizes Modern Technology in Policing


Lahore: Officers from the Balochistan Police, currently undergoing a specialized training course, met with Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem at the Central Police Office. According to Punjab Police, the meeting included 35 newly recruited Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), who are part of the third Specialized Training Course. The officers expressed appreciation for the Punjab Police’s performance in crime control, infrastructure development, smart policing, and public service delivery.



IG Punjab Abdul Kareem discussed the Safe Punjab Vision, initiated by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, which focuses on modernizing the police force. He emphasized the importance of modern training for police officers across various provinces and highlighted the significance of experience in both field duties and office management. The IG expressed confidence that the training received would enhance the professional capabilities of the Balochistan officers.



During the meeting, IG Punjab urged the trainee DSPs to leverage modern technology to improve crime control and public service delivery. He addressed their queries and was briefed by the officers on their field training experiences. The meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs, and the trainees later toured various police departments, gaining insights into law and order, crime control, and public service operations. The session was attended by senior officers, including Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad and Additional IG Training Asim Gulzar.
