Lahore, August 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the police force for establishing top-notch security arrangements throughout the province including Lahore during Independence Day celebrations. In a wireless message, Dr. Usman Anwar acknowledged the remarkable performance of the entire police force and expressed gratitude. IG Punjab said that the police officers and personnel did their best duty by being on high alert throughout the province including Lahore; Police provided a completely peaceful environment to the citizens to celebrate the Independence Day.

The police teams maintained the atmosphere of law and order and the flow of traffic in the heavy rush, Protection was provided to families and women on highways, parks, recreational areas, Dr. Usman Anwar said that even at the highest government level, the excellent performance of the police force was appreciated.

Officers and personnel of Special Branch, CTD Corporals, Traffic Police and Dolphin Force jawans of all field formations performed their best duties. He expressed optimism that the dedication to serving the public and fulfilling duties would persist in the future as well.
