ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations targeting criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 15 individuals and seized significant quantities of drugs and weapons. The arrests, conducted by various police stations across the city, underscore the ongoing efforts to enhance security and maintain public order.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out by teams from the Margalla, Karachi Company, Sumbal, Tarnol, Sangjani, Khana, Nilore, and Bhara Kahu police stations. Twelve suspects were apprehended for their involvement in different criminal activities. During these operations, police recovered 2 kilograms of hashish, 1,510 grams of heroin, 313 grams of Ice, and six pistols along with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects as investigations proceed.
Additionally, a special campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of three more individuals. This initiative is part of a broader effort, directed by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to curtail crime and ensure the safety of residents in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the commitment of the Islamabad Police to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens, stating that maintaining peace and security remains a top priority. The police have encouraged citizens to report suspicious activities to local stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster cooperation between the community and law enforcement in eradicating crime.
