ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements, the Islamabad Police, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have intensified search and combing operations throughout the federal capital. The operations, which were supervised by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs, resulted in the checking of over 475 individuals, along with numerous households, hotels, shops, motorcycles, and vehicles.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations led to the thorough examination of 191 households, 30 hotels, and 99 shops, as well as 2,274 motorcycles and 76 vehicles. Among those checked, 24 suspicious individuals and 31 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Arrests were made for drug trafficking, with police recovering 540 grams of heroin and 30 grams of ice.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the aim of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and bolster security across the city. Ongoing operations are being conducted in various areas, with the police maintaining an indiscriminate approach against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
