Jubilee Life Insurance and Kashf Foundation Unveil “Khushal Mustaqbil Takaful” for Women’s Financial Empowerment

Lahore: Jubilee Life Insurance, in partnership with Kashf Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has announced the launch of “Khushal Mustaqbil Takaful (KMT),” a micro-savings and protection initiative aimed at enhancing the financial resilience of women in underserved communities.

According to United Nations Development Programme, the collaboration was formalized at Kashf Foundation’s Head Office in Lahore, marking a significant step towards advancing financial inclusion and gender-responsive insurance solutions. The KMT plan, designed specifically for women borrowers of Kashf Foundation, is a yearly renewable endowment Takaful plan combining protection with long-term savings. It operates under the Shari’ah-compliant Wakalah-Waqf Takaful Model, offering financial protection for families in the event of loss of life and providing a structured pathway for women to build savings and long-term financial security.

Mr. Javed Ahmed, MD and CEO of Jubilee Life Insurance, emphasized the importance of inclusive and accessible financial protection, particularly for women who are central to household resilience. Ms. Roshaneh Zafar, Managing Director of Kashf Foundation, highlighted the potential impact of the KMT plan on women’s long-term financial security. A UNDP Pakistan representative underscored the role of inclusive insurance solutions in closing Pakistan’s protection gap and enhancing community resilience against economic and climate-related challenges.

The initiative is part of Kashf Foundation’s broader efforts, recognized by UNDP Pakistan’s Insurance Innovation Challenge, to deliver gender-responsive financial protection solutions and promote inclusive economic growth across Pakistan.
