ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, organized an open court at the Central Police Office in Islamabad, as part of an open-door policy aimed at addressing public grievances. During the session, the IGP engaged directly with both citizens and police officers, issuing immediate instructions to relevant officers for prompt resolution of issues.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, this initiative underscores the IGP’s commitment to merit-based problem-solving as a top priority. Citizens experiencing police-related grievances are encouraged to attend these open courts, where they can expect direct access to the IGP and assurance of transparent handling of their issues.
In response to citizen complaints, the IGP directed concerned officers to address applications promptly and report back to the Central Police Office within a specified timeframe. Additionally, he instructed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to strictly adhere to office hours, allowing the public to discuss issues during these times for swift resolution.
The IGP emphasized the Islamabad Police’s efforts to facilitate citizens, highlighting that daily open courts are instrumental in prioritizing and resolving public concerns efficiently.
