ICC Security Delegation Reviews Cricket Match Preparations in Punjab with IG Dr. Usman Anwar


Lahore, A high-level delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently visited the Central Police Office to discuss security arrangements for upcoming international cricket matches in Punjab. Led by ICC’s Safety and Security Manager David Muskar, the delegation evaluated the measures put in place by Punjab Police to ensure the safety of players, officials, and fans.



According to Punjab Police, during the meeting, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar detailed the comprehensive security strategies, including high alert statuses at key points such as airports, hotels, and match venues. The discussions also covered the extensive preparations by Punjab Police, such as security rehearsals and the coordination of team movements. Dr. Anwar affirmed the commitment of various police units including the Executive Police and the Elite Force in maintaining a secure environment for all cricket-related activities.



The meeting concluded with IG Punjab presenting a souvenir to the ICC delegation, symbolizing the strong collaborative efforts between the two bodies. Senior officials from the Punjab Police also participated in the briefing, reinforcing the high level of readiness for the international events.
