Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan conducted a virtual workshop aimed at enhancing quality assurance practices within the country’s higher education institutions. Held at the HEC Lahore Regional Centre, the event provided training to 40 academic and administrative officials from several universities.

According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, participants included registrars, directors of Quality Enhancement Cells, and members from Offices of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation, among others. Representatives from University of Science and Technology, Lahore Leads University, Green International University, and Akhuwat Institute, Kasur, attended the workshop. The training focused on aligning institutional practices with the PSG-2023 guidelines, with an emphasis on program assessment, continuous quality improvement, and documentation.

The workshop aimed to increase awareness among university officials about quality assurance procedures and related topics. Presentations covered standards and guidelines on quality education, followed by a question and answer session. The training underscored the importance of result-oriented quality assurance and the creation of a dynamic mechanism for continuous improvement and accountability through the QA Framework.
