Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure, highlighting it as a top priority during a review meeting focused on the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre and the Phase-II Extension of the Federal Government Polyclinic.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sharif, showcased various designs and proposals for the construction of the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre. The progress on the Phase-II Extension of the Federal Government Polyclinic was also discussed. The Prime Minister prioritized the acceleration of health sector reforms and made a significant decision to initiate the Federal Government Polyclinic Extension in Sector G-11 as the initial phase of the Jinnah Medical Complex. This move aims to expedite the hospital’s operational status, thus providing citizens with improved healthcare services.

Prime Minister Sharif directed that the first phase of the Jinnah Medical Complex be completed by March next year. He underscored the importance of equipping the facility with state-of-the-art medical technology. Furthermore, he emphasized the need for third-party validation to ensure the project’s quality and transparency as it progresses.
