Ahad Cheema Acknowledges ADB Support Amid Fiscal Reform Efforts


Islamabad: Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema has recognized the Asian Development Bank’s longstanding support for Pakistan’s development priorities during a meeting with ADB’s Vice President for South, Central, and West Asia, Yingming Yang. The discussion, held in Islamabad, centered around the government’s ongoing fiscal reforms and collaboration with international financial institutions.



According to Radio Pakistan, Cheema emphasized the government’s comprehensive fiscal reforms, which are being coordinated with key development partners, including the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank. The ADB’s Vice President praised the recent improvements in Pakistan’s sovereign credit ratings by international agencies, attributing them to the government’s commitment to enhancing macroeconomic stability.
