Islamabad: Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, today stated that the government is intensively focusing on the agricultural sector to bolster Pakistan’s economic growth. During a press interaction in Lahore, he highlighted the critical role of agriculture in the national economy and discussed recent governmental measures aimed at enhancing the production and export of key commodities.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Hussain detailed the government’s efforts to prioritize agriculture, emphasizing its importance in stabilizing and driving the economy. He noted that the production and export of staples such as rice and wheat, along with Pakistani fruits, are significant due to their recognized high quality on the global stage.

The Minister also reflected on the economic challenges faced by the previous administration, crediting current government policies with averting a potential financial default. Additionally, he marked his visit to the Millat Tractors Factory plant, where he inaugurated a new line of export-quality tractors, symbolizing a step forward in modernizing and expanding Pakistan’s agricultural machinery for international markets.
