IGP Islamabad Lauds Officers for Swift Resolution of Businessman Murder Case


Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, commended the investigation teams for their swift action in solving the murder case of prominent businessman Aamir Awan. During a ceremony at the Central Police Office, he praised the officers for their prompt arrests in the case, awarding them with certificates and rewards for their efforts.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the ceremony also saw the involvement of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, who joined IGP Rizvi in acknowledging the professional competence and effective investigation skills displayed by the police personnel. IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of professional excellence, transparency, and maintaining a public-friendly attitude as top priorities for the Islamabad Police. He highlighted that officers demonstrating outstanding performance in crime prevention and public service are a source of pride for the department.



IGP Rizvi further reiterated the commitment of the Islamabad Police to adopt modern policing practices, enhance public relations, and implement effective crime-curbing strategies. He underscored the necessity of public cooperation in maintaining law and order, stating that a safe and peaceful society can only be achieved through mutual collaboration between the public and the police. The officers expressed their gratitude to the IGP and reaffirmed their dedication to serving and protecting citizens with professionalism.



The event concluded with IGP Rizvi and DIG Tariq conducting a meeting with SSPs and zonal SPs to review current crime control measures, investigate ongoing cases, and address the prosecution of important cases in courts, assigning key tasks to the officers involved.
